What do you think meatless Mondays are for? Simple! it means we go without eating meat every Monday! Meatless Monday is an International Campaign that encourages people to not eat meat on Mondays to improve their health and the health of the planet. It was first launched by Sid Lerner in 2003, who, throughout his legendary career in advertising has created campaigns that change the way nations think about everything, from common household items to public health and environment.

Why go meatless every Monday?

• Together we can save 1,500,000 gallons of water every Monday.

• Each Monday, it would be equal to taking our cars off the road for a total of 352,000 miles. • Health Benefits. Lessening your meat intake means a reduced chance of cancer, heart diseases, diabetes and stroke.

• It would eliminate 5 tons of carbon dioxide emission every Monday which is a way forward towards building up a "carbon negative" environment.

• Growing animals for "food" is not only an inefficient way of producing food, but it also generates more Green House Gas emissions than all modes of transportations combined. • Animal life can be saved even if its by 1%.

Going without meat every Monday does not only benefit us but it helps our planet as a whole. It has an impact on everything which is way beyond what we only think of. One small act of going green every Monday can make a huge difference ! Afterall a little progress each day adds up to bigger results! Join the meatless Monday movement and help the world in building up a better future ! Let's work together, for us ! Go green, at least for a day in a week? #wecandothis! #gogreen
